SEE Scholar Agreement
Please read the agreement below and provide your electronic signature and date.
As a SEE Scholar, I understand and agree to the following terms and conditions governing my participation in the SEE Scholar Program.
1. As a SEE Scholar, I will be committed to working toward achieving high as a Truman student. I will participate fully in the SEE Academic Institute’s activities during the program, the 2020-2021 academic year, and subsequent years for the duration of my scholarship.
2. I will attend workshops and activities:
All workshops and seminars listed in the SEE Important Dates Calendar
At least 3 cultural events during the fall semester

I will participate fully in academic and personal support activities as a SEE Scholar by accomplishing the following tasks:
For those enrolled in MATH 156-99, complete and pass the first exam of the course by end of the SEE Academic Institute
For those enrolled in MATH 156-99, successfully complete course with a passing grade by the end of the fall semester
4. I will be an active participant in the Peer Mentor program for the duration of my scholarship:
Freshman year scholars will participate in the Peer Mentor program as a mentee
Subsequent years scholars will participate in the Peer Mentor program as a mentor for incoming freshmen
Mentors and mentees are expected to have 2 contact hours each week
5. I will meet with the SEE staff regularly:
Meet with a designated SEE staff member on my regularly scheduled time during the fall and spring semesters for academic coaching
Meet with Program Coordinator and/or Assistant Dean at a minimum of once per semester for the course of my time at Truman
Attend all group meetings assigned throughout fall and spring semesters
6. As ongoing commitments, I will:
Maintain a satisfactory GPA of 2.75 or above during fall and spring semesters
Check e-mail for SEE correspondence weekly
Regularly check Slack (SEE's designated group messaging platform) for correspondences from SEE staff
Return forms to SEE Academic Institute within one week of receipt
Notify SEE staff at least 24 hours in advance of any appointment cancellations, or no less than 24 hour after a missed appointment due to personal emergency
Notify SEE staff of any changes in enrollment status and GPA
7. Failure to comply with this contract will result in deductions or complete annulment from any SEE related stipends or scholarships, and potential reimbursement for any accrued financial benefits.
8. I will maintain updated contact information (e-mail address, telephone number, street address) with the SEE Program, notifying the program of any changes as they occur.
Reasonable exceptions to participation in, or completion of, the above program activities may be granted by the SEE Scholars Program through and appeal to the SEE Coordinator. In cases of unexpected emergencies, notification of SEE Academic Institute staff must occur within 48 hours
